Finally, with recent release of Sun’s JDK 5.0 Update 8 I can run Netbeans on my systems running Xgl!!! It was such a pain having to open Netbeans in a seperate Xnest window to do any development (or use one of my none-Xgl systems, hooray for the Mac!).

According to this article on eWeek Corel’s WordPerfect will be supporting the OpenDocument format!
So far these are the applications I have heard that intend to support the OpenDocument standard:
StarOffice
OpenOffice.org
KOffice
Abiword
Gnumeric
…and now WordPerfect
And the list keeps growing!
