..::B:R:A:D::..

Well, it’s almost been a month since my last post on the old blog. June was an extremely busy month for me. It started out with going to a ballgame in Pittsburgh with my brother. Then being in my best friends wedding in Cleveland. Later we had to move to a new apartment, which was not fun. Fortunately we really didn’t break too much stuff in the move. Several days after the move though my main Linux computer blew up! I am not exactly sure what happened but all I know is that it’s fried. It happend right in the middle of my SuSE 9.3 Pro install. So I am now in the market for a new Linux machine.

I was thinking about getting a Mac but haven’t made a final decision yet. The only thing really stopping me is the fact that the machine the Mac is replacing was my primary machine for testing various Linux distributions and other operating systems. That of course will not be possible on the Mac.

So…it may be back to Dell and waiting another day for my Mac. If only I had enough money for both!!!

On top of all that the company I work for is openning an office in Florida. So as the IT director I have been busy preparing for that in addition to my regular duties. I also have the unfortunate priviledge of being in charge of the company’s phone system as well. This is a nightmare, before coming to this company I had no interest or knowledge of phone systems. I think it would be easier if were were running VOIP, and probably more interesting to me.
